Textile Designer for Bedding

Description and Responsibilities:

As a Textile Designer you will be pivotal in creating innovative and commercially viable textiles that align with current technical capabilities. Your collaborative efforts across various team members including sales will be crucial for success in this dynamic role. You will be responsible for developing and refining textile designs per the annual Creative Direction fostering a repository of creative design ideas for exploration and working closely with the R and amp;D Knit manager to overcome technical challenges and ensure design excellence. Additionally driving topline growth through engaging customer interaction crafting compelling digital presentations and adhering to project timelines will be critical aspects of your role as a Textile Designer.

Responsibilities:

• Design Development: and nbsp;Develop and refine textile designs through the annual Creative Direction established by the Creative Director. This includes creating concepts for the total bed encompassing panel border and cover design.
• Creative Freedom: and nbsp;Maintain an open file of individual concepts and design ideas to encourage creative freedom and innovation in design development.
• Collaboration: and nbsp;Work closely with the R and amp;D Knit manager to devise alternative design solutions and address technical challenges. Collaborate with design colleagues and the R and amp;D Knit manager to creatively tackle design issues.
• Preparation and Adherence: and nbsp;Prepare diligently for all working sessions product reviews and kickoff meetings. Adhere to timelines and schedules for deliverables as outlined in the creative brief.

CustomerSpecific Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: and nbsp;Drive topline growth through dedication innovative solutions and engaging with customers to understand their needs and design preferences.
• Design Alignment: and nbsp;Develop compelling concepts and designs that align with customers design briefs aesthetics and technical requirements. Evaluate constructions to select the highest visual appearance of value and quality.
• Cost Management: and nbsp;Adjust designs to meet target cost parameters by collaborating closely with the R and amp;D Knit manager. Revise designs or develop new concepts based on customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Presentation Skills: and nbsp;Create compelling digital presentations for customerfacing product reviews. Author and maintain customer presentation files detailed meeting notes and design development walls.
• Collaboration: and nbsp;Collaborate with assigned sales agents R and amp;D Knit manager Creative Director and customers as required to achieve successful outcomes.

Work Experience Skills and Abilities:

• Technical Expertise: and nbsp;Advanced understanding of circular knitting machines and jacquard constructions. Proficient knowledge of circular knit and machine capabilities as well as jacquard fabric and weave constructions.
• Artistic Skills: and nbsp;Strong artistic background with skills in creating original art handdrawing and illustration. Ability to translate art into easily repeatable patterns.
• Software Proficiency: and nbsp;Advanced skills in EAT (including Layer Editor) Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop) and 3D rendering. General knowledge of AIgenerating software for prompt creation.
• Organizational Skills: and nbsp;Highly organized and timeoriented capable of efficiently completing multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.
• Communication Skills: and nbsp;Effective communication skills with a proactive approach to followup.
• Adaptability: and nbsp;Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high quality detail and accuracy levels.
• Experience: and nbsp;Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in textile design.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design.
