Job Overview:

As the Transport Contract Manager at Kinect Services you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing transport assistance for both the Adult Social Care (ASC) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) markets. As a naturally analytical thinker you will leverage your ability to plan routes efficiently and effectively to maximise contract performance passenger safety and resource utilisation whilst collaborating with contractors clients stakeholders and other council departments conducive to the delivery of a highquality and costeffective transport solution.

You will ensure that our transport services support the educational and wellbeing needs of Adult Social Care and SEN Service Users contributing to the successful financial management of the service within statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of ASC and SEN transport contracts ensuring the safe efficient and effective resource allocation through the delivery of transport.
  • Manage a dedicated team including a Transport Planner and Planning and Dispatch Coordinator fostering a culture of high performance continuous improvement and team development.
  • Budget and Resource Optimisation: Key contributor to managing the transport budget identifying costsaving opportunities while maintaining high service quality. Ensure optimal resource utilisation to support daily operations and future service expansions.
  • DataDriven Decision Making: Employ data analysis to track service performance guiding informed decisions that foster continuous service improvement.
  • Future Service Expansion: Actively participate in strategic planning for potential service expansions ensuring new initiatives are viable and aligned with the organisations mission and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain robust administrative systems and processes for optimal service delivery ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders providing expert advice and fostering professional relationships to enhance service delivery.
  • Proactively manage and review transport contracts and budgets ensuring costeffectiveness and value for money while maintaining high service standards.

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing transport services including route planning staff budget and contract management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and promote team cohesion.
  • Excellent organisational and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to delivering highquality clientfocused transport solutions.
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to transport planning and management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Relevant professional qualifications in Business & Administration IT or Leadership.
