Overview:
The Assistant Orthopedic Doctor plays a crucial role in providing support to the orthopedic doctor and ensuring the smooth functioning of the orthopedic department. They assist in diagnosing treating and managing the care of orthopedic patients contributing to positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient assessment and examination
- Review patient medical history and conduct physical examinations
- Aid in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
- Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of the orthopedic doctor
- Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and support
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records
- Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Required Qualifications:
- Completed DNB/MS in Orthopedics
- Valid medical license to practice
- Excellent understanding of orthopedic conditions and treatments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
