Overview
The position of MD/DNB General Medicine is a crucial role within our healthcare organization responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. The role requires strong diagnostic skills the ability to develop treatment plans and excellent bedside manner to ensure the wellbeing of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical consultations and examinations to diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to aid in medical decisionmaking.
- Prescribe medication and formulate longterm management plans for chronic conditions.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients.
- Assess and monitor patients progress and response to treatment.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention health promotion and treatment plans.
- Contribute to clinical audits research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and evidencebased practices.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a General Medicine specialist.
- Minimum of 2 years of postqualification experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of internal medicine principles and practices.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decisionmaking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics patient confidentiality and consent.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
