We the RecruitNet team are always on call to help you find your perfect job and are staffed by highly experienced and professional nursing recruitment consultants. We are now seeking a CNM3 Infection Prevention and Control for a private hospital located in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Work together with healthcare professionals and important stakeholders to offer a resource for advice on minimizing or reducing infections linked to medical care.
- To examine incidents of suspected hospitalacquired infection and gather relevant clinical data relevant to the epidemiological inquiry in coordination with the clinical teams and CNMs of relevant patients.
- Offering alert organism surveillance with a focus on limiting the spread of transmissible organisms.
- As needed to take the lead in assisting with the investigation and management of infectious disease outbreaks.
- To reduce healthcareassociated infections by increasing knowledge of infection prevention and control throughout all clinical services.
- Take part in the risk assessment process for infection control matters.
- To plan organize oversee and audit adherence to infection control protocols such as hospital hygiene isolation protocols hand hygiene and other protocols.
- In compliance with the infection control plan create and oversee an extensive infection control program in designated locations.
Requirements
- a registered general nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible to register with the NMBI. A formal postregistration education program that is recognized by the QQI National Framework and is relevant to the field of specialist practice at level 8 (Higher Diploma).
- A higher diploma or equivalent in critical care nursing and infection control.
- A minimum of two years experience in the infection control specialty
- five years of acute hospital postregistration experience in the previous seven years.
