Job Description

Description: Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This critical role involves providing care for newborns who are experiencing severe health issues premature birth or surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal care exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to providing the highest level of patientcentered care. Our client is dedicated to providing exceptional patientcentered care. The NICU is one of the most important as well as sought after units in the hospital it serves infants requiring medical or surgical care postbirth ranging from extremely premature to those with transition difficulties to extrauterine life. The facility handles a wide range of treatments except for ECMO and complex cardiac surgery and is a regional transport referral and delivering hospital with 24/7 Neonatology coverage. This role offers a fulltime night shift schedule with shift differential pay and opportunities for continued education and certification. The facility is recognized for nursing excellence and pediatric trauma care providing a supportive environment for both professional growth and patient care. The team emphasizes teamwork and support creating a positive working environment.


Requirements:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor vital signs administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures with precision and care.
  • Educate and support parents and families providing them with the information and guidance they need during their neonates hospital stay.
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in neonatal care.


Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience or related clinical area.
  • Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNCNIC) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a highstress environment.
