Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the execution of technical projects ensuring adherence to all health safety and environmental standards and managing the operational integrity of process control systems with a focus on Distributed Control System (DCS) expertise. Emphasis on compliance with all relevant regulations is paramount.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years in the field with at least 3 years of specific experience in chemical processing facilities.
  • Proven expertise in the Nitric Acid sector.
  • Proficiency with Foxboro DCS systems.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Experience with Pi system.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical analyses and initiatives to enhance operational performance focusing on safety environmental compliance efficiency and costeffectiveness. This includes facility design modifications procedural improvements and optimizing DCS configurations in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Manage Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents Management of Change (MOC) notices and Incident Reports ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with safety assessments.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison across finance operations and maintenance departments addressing all technical queries and challenges.
  • Oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation including P&IDs and administer the Management of Change (MOC) protocol ensuring documentation is current and action items are addressed.
  • Maintain and update process control systems and software including safety system functionality tests troubleshooting and training for relevant teams.
  • Develop software tools for monitoring utility and raw material usage and production metrics to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Act as the onsite coordinator for Environmental Management and quality assurance processes and support financial reconciliation of production data.
  • Participate in afterhours decisionmaking rotation and contribute to the review and update of operational and safety procedures.
  • Assist in environmental compliance reporting and regulatory submissions maintaining uptodate safety and product documentation.
  • Manage the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) according to Quality Assurance protocols ensuring accurate emissions reporting.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
