Our client is an established provider of machine vision cameras for the automation robotics transportation security broadcast medical life science aerospace defense and space markets worldwide specializing in ruggedization customization and highreliability design. Tasks

Our client is seeking a digital firmware design engineer to help develop the next generation of camera test equipment. The focus will be on the design and development of firmware for FPGAs in camera systems. The successful candidate will work in a small team of highly skilled hardware and software engineers where contributions are recognized and knowledge teamwork flexibility and a positive attitude are highly valued. The candidate should be familiar with the phases of hardware product design and development validation testing and debugging and related documentation.

Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering Applied Physics or equivalent with ideally 4 years design experience although candidates with less experience will be considered.

Experience implementing the full development cycle for digital devices based on FPGAs: planning schematic development SoC system development (RTL firmware development and/or Embedded software application) verification/simulation testing/debugging qualification and documentation.

Experience using VHDL Verilog or System Verilog for Altera/Microsemi devices and synthesis/simulation tools. Experience with NIOS and ARM is a plus.

Familiarity with highspeed digital interfaces and data transfer: GEV CXP SFP USB 3.0 DDR.

Experience with serial protocols: SPI I2C RS232 UART USB FLASH or similar.

Familiarity with the development of complex multi board digital and analog schematics using Altium. Will create requirements for the PCB design team and work closely with them during PCB development.

Ability to understand and write technical instructions including design specifications and test procedures.

Prefer aerospace and defense experience including MILSPEC 810G and DO160G projects.

Selfmotivated independent learner teamplayer with a good sense of priority and urgency.

Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident due to ITAR regulations.
