As part of this role you will be responsible for creating tactile maps and graphs as needed overseeing and managing inventory levels of essential supplies and ensuring proficiency in proper English usage including spelling grammar and punctuation. Additionally meticulous recordkeeping of all transcriptions and appropriate labeling of electronic files for future reference will be essential. Efficient time management will be crucial to ensure that materials are readily available to students in a timely manner. Furthermore you will collaborate closely with the Teacher of Students with Vision Impairments (TSVI) to make necessary adaptations of materials and maintain a comprehensive resource file for alternative sources of braille large print or electronic materials. Staying updated on technological advancements relevant to braille production and interfaces with assistive technology will also be part of your responsibilities. Finally you will convert various materials such as books workbooks testing materials and classroom assignments into accessible formats like braille large print and electronic versions for students with visual impairments.
