Duties: Job Summary: The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I provides professional care in the SHVI Invasive Cardiac Pediatric and Peripheral Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The Specialist may be required to work at any SHVI location on a temporary operational need or training basis or semipermanent assignment. The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages developmental stages and special needs of the patients served. Responsible for assisting unit efforts in performance excellence growth quality customer service employee engagement and community benefit. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Represents the systems core values caring commitment integrity teamwork safety communication and service recovery. Supports and contributes to the PatientCentered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver whose role is to meet the needs of each patient. Performs care for the comfort and well being of the patient. Performs and/or assists with treatments therapies and procedures (including scrub assistant monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician. Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician. Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record. Physical Requirements Intermittent to rapid pace with high pressure situations requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking. Work requires walking standing sitting lifting reaching stooping bending pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies. Fluency in reading writing and speaking English. Intact sense of sight hearing smell touch manual dexterity good eye hand coordination. Standing and walking while wearing 1020 lbs lead radiation protection aprons. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Potential exposure to radiation secretions and blood. Confined work area

Skills: Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist Certification and/or equivalent certification required. Must Maintains current BLS ACLS and CCI requirements

Education: Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists nursing or related field required

Supports 6 Cardiovascular Procedure Rooms that perform high risk PCIs ECMOs Impeller TAVR CTO Watchman and Structural Heart. Level 1 Code STEMI Trauma Center. Important: Direct Hire/Perm. The worker must either live within 45 minutes of the facility or be relocating to the area. If your worker is not local please indicate on the resume or cover page if your worker is in the process of relocating or plans to relocate permanently if offered.
