Senior Blasting Operator

Job Summary: Overall responsibility for operating blasting machine equipment (Manual and Automatic) in accordance with production quality and achieve global objectives set up by the Special Process Manager and Company.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Special Process Manager to achieve objectives and daily production requirements and on time quality product outputs.
• Operates the blasting machines to perform the jobs in accordance with the defined procedures and work instructions.
• Records process information and completion of the job in the shop traveler production supported documents and data collection in ERP in order to maintain all required records as per process requirements and defined WIs.
• Performs and logs maintenance Level 1 as per WIs and requirements.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the shop and equipment for the blasting area.
• Notifies and reports any issues to Special Process Manager or assigned stakeholders related to blasting machine malfunction quality defect safety and production concerns.
• Ensures proper PPEs (Personnel Protective Equipment) are worn as per safety of work requirements.
• Ensures all hazardous waste materials are disposed of correctly (waste media).
• Supports company projects to include but not limited to process surveillance new process qualifications and testing as required by the management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Special Process Manager and management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or degree in production manufacturing or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience (junior or 7 years senior) in production and blasting activities in aerospace defense industries or other industries.
• Knowledge and exposure with blasting on different metallic material.
• Ability to carry out manual processes (distance between nozzle to part and pressure related as per material grade requirements).
• Awareness of international standards in environment health and safety.
• Awareness regarding data collection.
• Desirable experience with equipment with PLC and HMI systems
