The interview structure will consist of a 10minute for you to present your design followed by up to 5 minutes for any clarifying questions and 30 minutes oral interview. and nbsp;

Please come prepared with a presentation that covers the following topic:

We are interested in seeing your progression from initial lowfidelity mockups to the final highfidelity wireframes.. and nbsp;

Please note that failure to provide a presentation will result in a 0 score for this portion of the interview.

Create effective user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. and nbsp;

Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience iterate upon it in accordance with usertesting. and nbsp;

Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays publications media and other creative materials as required. and nbsp;

Take a usercentered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs. and nbsp;

Conceive and conduct user research interviews and surveys and translating them into sitemaps user flows customer journey maps wireframes mockups and prototypes and nbsp;

General Skills: and nbsp;

Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance and nbsp;

Experience as a UX designer interactive designer UI designer or similar role designing for web and mobile applications and nbsp;

Proficiency with design and prototyping tools and nbsp;

Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies and nbsp;

Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience and nbsp;

Experience conceiving and conducting user research interviews and surveys and translating them into sitemaps user flows user journey maps wireframes mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences and nbsp;

Experience designing the overall functionality of the product and in order to ensure a great user experience iterate upon it in accordance with usertesting and nbsp;

Experience designing and delivering wireframes user stories user flows user journeys mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces and nbsp;

Experience facilitating the clients product vision by researching conceiving sketching prototyping and usertesting experiences for digital products and optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces Experience identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions and nbsp;

Experience making strategic design and userexperience decisions related to core and new functions and features and nbsp;

Experience gathering user feedback to configure existing interfaces and nbsp;

A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience and nbsp;

• Design the overall functionality of key features within complex online services in order to ensure a great user experience
• Facilitate a variety of designthinking activities and collaborative sessions to understand the problem a digital solution needs to solve
• Plan and execute user research to understand user expectations behaviours and needs to inform design decisions
• Develop user personas journey maps service design blueprints information architecture diagrams and other design artefacts as suits the needs of the project or product team
• Conduct research to ensure designs are aligned with industry best practices
• Translate concepts into wireframes wireflows low and highfidelity mockups and clickable prototypes that illustrate the products functionality and can be used for usability testing and user research
• Take a usercentred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
• Ensure designs are accessible optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces and aligned with the Ontario governments design system
• Help to mature the organizations design and research operations

• Humancentred design experience and expertise in developing and executing strategies that improve overall user interactions with digital products and services resulting in measurable enhancements and positive user feedback
• Ability to lead the design of complex digital services from concept to production including and nbsp;experience designing information architecture UI and UX optimized for a wide range of devices (e.g. web responsive)
• Demonstrated experience creating research and design deliverables such as empathy maps site maps journey maps user flows wireframes mockups clickable prototypes presentations and reports
• A solid understanding of generative and evaluative user research methods and how user research can be incorporated continuously in the digital product lifecycle
• Handson experience creating user research plans recruiting participants facilitating user research analyzing findings and delivering insights
• Experience researching and applying industry best practices to support your design deliverables
• The ability to incorporate web analytics visitor feedback performance metrics and other data to inform design decisions
