We are seeking a highly skilled and cleared Data Engineer to join our team in support of government projects in Reston VA. This critical role focuses on the development implementation and optimization of datadriven solutions and algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Python and PyTorch experience with Flask and a solid understanding of REST APIs. A background in statistics and a basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate mission needs into technical requirements.
Triage and troubleshoot data issues.
Prepare task plans documentation and reports on activities.
Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Manage sensitive data transfer and handling.
Coordinate with technical teams across organizational boundaries.
Document and communicate technical and nontechnical requirements.
Plan and coordinate program management activities (e.g. reviews boards and meetings).
Provide support in technical writing editing and integration.
Track and ensure the completion of action items.
Define user requirements for analysts or operational customers.
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
Knowledge of Flask with the ability to become proficient quickly.
Familiarity with REST APIs.
Background/experience in statistics.
Basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
Experience in developing deploying and evaluating testing and verification methodologies for algorithm performance.
Experience with NLP CNNs LLMs or foundational models.
Proficiency in deploying machine learning models on multimedia data.
Linux System Administration and scripting (bash).
Android configuration software development and interfacing experience.
Experience with embedded systems (e.g. Raspberry Pi).
