CNC VMC Programmer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
• Set up and operate vertical machining centers to produce parts.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure accurate production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement and adhere to strict quality and safety standards.
• Provide training and guidance to machine operators as needed.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Assist in the development of new machining processes and techniques.
• Keep accurate production and maintenance records.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CNC VMC programmer or similar role.
• Indepth knowledge of CNC programming and Gcode.
• Proficiency in operating and setting up VMC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or similar programs.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and practices.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
• Continuous learning and improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of tooling cutting parameters and material properties.
