Form F Assessor Taunton

An exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who can produce and present high quality evidencebased analytical assessment reports.

Pay is on selfemployed basis: 2000 per assessment plus expenses.

Role Details

We need selfemployed independent social workers to complete Form F Assessments for potential foster carers. We currently need them in the South West of England.

Can I become a Form F Assessor

To become a Form F Assessor you ll need to be able to produce and present high quality evidencebased analytical fostering assessments and have a sound knowledge of child care legislation which includes the Children Act 1989 Fostering and Adoption Act 2002 the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services and Fostering Services Regulations.

What can we offer

We offer market rates on a perassessment basis as well as travelling expenses. We also offer our Form F Assessors opportunities for consultation and practice development.

We offer higher rate payments for Form F Assessors who complete four Form Fs through to approval within set time scales.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Taunton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • social work: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • registration with SWE (required)

Requirements


You must also be able to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be a qualified social worker.
  • Have significant post qualification experience of undertaking relevant assessment work.
  • Registered with SWE.
  • Hold or be willing to take out professional indemnity insurances.
  • Willing to attend a mandatory induction day and training days.
  • Have unrestricted access to your own transport and to be willing to travel.
  • Pass statutory and company checks as part of the recruitment process.
  • Ideally have completed and taken to Panel at least one Form F Assessment previously.

What you need You will need to be a caring, resilient, and adaptable team player. It is important that you are a positive and motivated individual. These are bank roles offered on a Casual Worker's Agreement, for people who have a passion to make a difference. All training will be provided and we are proud to offer an induction programme to enable you to settle into the role. Previous experience within a support work role with children, young people & families would be advantageous, along with NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Residential Childcare qualification. However, this is not essential entry criteria for this role. Driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
