Black & Grey HR is excited to announce that we are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager position for one of the premier meat processing companies globally. This role based in Queensland Australia is at the heart of our client s Meat Processing division ensuring the efficiency and reliability of operational assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance of operational assets to ensure optimal performance at costeffective levels.
Engage in negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings on equipment and services.
Provide technical expertise and leadership to the team.
Identify and recommend updates or replacements for outdated plant and equipment.
Assist in developing maintenance budgets and ensure operations stay within budgetary limits.
Play an active role in recruiting and training new team members.
Lead and manage the Maintenance team effectively.
Oversee the maintenance database including tracking service schedules.
Maintain consistent communication with Meat Processing Managers.
Report any incidents in compliance with Company Policies to the Operations Manager and People & Performance team.
Achieve annual goals and contribute to key business initiatives.
Strict adherence to all company policies procedures and safety guidelines.
Take on additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Appropriate trade qualifications.
Extensive experience in managing costeffective maintenance programs in largescale operations.
Demonstrated leadership in supervising and training teams.
Excellent communication skills proactive approach and attention to detail.
Strong time management skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to positively influence team behavior.
Good level of computer literacy.
