Project Planner: Workington Cumbria

Salary : 40000 45000 DOE pa

MacArthur Recruitment is working for a UKbased manufacturing engineering organisation who are looking for a Project Planner to produce fully resourced and cost loaded tender and project programmes developed from commercial estimates logic diagrams and norms.

Overview of the Project Planner role :

• Maintain project programmes on a fixed and regular basis with actual and forecast progress percent complete and report earned value and KPI s to senior management Project Managers Engineers QSs and Cost Engineers as required.
  
• Produce fully resourced and cost loaded tender and project programmes developed from commercial estimates logic diagrams and norms.
  
• Utilise updated data from various sources including Manufacturing Planners Project Engineers Buyers and the commercial team.
  
• Liaise with and feedback to the Planning Team Leader Project Planners Engineers and Managers of progress and impact ensuring all departments have visibility of the programme schedules as required.
  
• Propose solutions to mitigate potential progress issues and conflicts and support the development of an agreed revised workshop plan.
  
• Support the production of the manufacturing forward load when required.
  
• Support the project team in presenting project progress at regular client meetings.
  

Your background for the Project Planner role :

• Experience of Primavera P6 or Microsoft planning.
  
• Experience with use of MS Office suite desirable.
  
• Good communicator proactive problemsolver and selfmotivated team player with ability to work on own initiative. Thorough with a high attention to detail.
  
• Experience of manufacturing processes within an engineering manufacturing environment is desirable.
  
• An engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
