SAP ABAP Developer

Recruit121 are searching for a permanent SAP ABAP Developer on behalf of our global client

Tasks

• Lead technical aspects for the development enhancements and maintenance of the SAP system landscape within application teams.
• Analyze support issues in collaboration with functional team members and business analysts reporting delays and risks to team leads.
• Provide support for existing and new interfaces demonstrating a solid understanding of integration with thirdparty tools.
• Collaborate with diverse teams including security functional development and operations support groups encompassing onsite offshore and inhouse 3rd party teams.
• Exercise oversight over various SAP systems (ABAP PI eTravel Portal etc.) and collaborate with other IT groups to address technical issues ensuring proper escalation of problems.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Work alongside Change and Release Management to maintain a stable operating environment during transitions and changes.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures emphasizing adherence to defined processes.
• Implement and support projects within established timeframes maintaining high standards of quality and staying within budget.
• Guarantee proper governance and smooth handovers of SAP Development project activities.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Computer Engineering or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• Fluent proficiency in English for reading writing understanding and communication.
• 35 years of technical design and implementation experience in SAP within a Global company.
• 3 years of ABAP development experience including expertise in Object Oriented ABAP Enhancement Spots BADIs User Exits ADOBE Forms and Smartforms.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP modules including SAP SD FI SCM PP SRM CRM S/4HANA at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Excellent working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM service management practices focusing on incident management change management and problem management.
• Some familiarity with SAP Data Archiving.
