Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join Integrum (Part of the wider OCU Group) based in Stockport.

Our twoyear development program has been designed to provide a diverse range of work experience and supported onthejob learning alongside your mentor coach and line manager. Flexibility in the individual will be key to gaining experience from across the national business locations and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design and development of electrical systems and components for various projects.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to support ongoing projects providing assistance in areas such as surveying primary and secondary design system integration testing and commissioning.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including drawings technical specifications and reports.
• Work closely with all teams Project Managers and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understand industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in electrical and civil engineering.
• Provide support to assure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes standards and safety regulations.
• Support the Principal Design Engineers to update the project programmes and budgets on a regular basis.
• Use ComputerAided Design (CAD) software to deliver Electrical and Civils designs.
• Ensure all work is delivered safety and follows safety by design principles.

Skills and Experience:

• You will either graduate in 2024 or have just completed a suitable masters or bachelors in a relevant engineering degree with a minimum grade of 2:2.
• Ability to integrate with existing team members.
• Have an understanding of renewable energy and/or transmission & distribution sectors.
• Ideally have an understanding of railway electrification systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design tools and software.
• Analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Selfreliance resourcefulness and initiative flexible approach and excellent time management.
