Your Role

As our Maintenance Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our high standards are upheld and our clients expectations are exceeded. Your daytoday tasks will include:

  • Initiating client relationships by personally reaching out to new maintenance clients setting expectations and ensuring their needs are understood before our first visit.
  • Training and supervision of team members in garden maintenance/horticultural tasks
  • Leading the team by personally walking them through new Job sheets capturing any essential details or adjustments required and identifying potential garden issues.
  • Monitoring team communication and progress ensuring that client updates accurately reflect completed work and flagging any matters that need attention.
  • Conducting thorough site inspections guaranteeing that our work meets the Brookes Blooms standard and assessing garden requirements for ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Overseeing vehicle and equipment maintenance ensuring cleanliness appropriate condition and functionality of all tools and machinery.
  • Collaborating with Team Leaders through meetings to address concerns relay information and foster continuous improvement.
  • Managing the team roster organising resources for the upcoming days tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Identifying opportunities for staff development providing guidance and training to enhance skills and confidence.
  • Conducting team leader meetings to facilitate clear communication and effective coordination.
  • Proactively engaging with potential businesses showcasing our range of services and nurturing relationships to drive business growth.
  • Upholding our commitment to cleanliness and safety by managing the organization and delegation of shed and equipment cleaning.

To be the right candidate for this role and this company you will need to have: An eagerness to learn and be trained in the field of horticulture Experience in residential maintenance Preference for a qualification in Horticulture (but not essential) Knowledge of plants, pests and diseases would also be an advantage A good knowledge of plants, pests and diseases A keen eye for detail Take pride in the quality of work you produce Great communication skills for liaising with clients Manual drivers licence (essential)
