Director of Engineering Management to Avinode Group

You will have strategic and operational responsibilities for the engineering function of eight product teams that wants to grow. What you will do
As our Director of Engineering Management you will build and maintain a capable engineering organization to deliver on business goals. You will ensure that all product teams adhere to agreedupon engineering standards for quality and development methodology/practices. You will collaborate closely with other functions in the organization on initiatives to align engineering efforts with product strategy customer needs and business goals. You will be expected to lead alignment organizational change management and best practices standardization across all product teams. You will develop and maintain talent acquisition partners and strategies to meet staffing objectives. Continuous improvement in engineering processes based on informed datadriven and observation that includes metrics and KPIs is something that will also be done as part of this role. We expect you to foster a culture of collaboration innovation and technical excellence.

At Avinode Group our engineering organization consist of 63 talented individuals. In this role you will lead a team of four passionate and easygoing engineering managers based in both Sweden and the USA. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the growth and development of your team members through coaching and feedback. In this role you will report directly to the CTO.

What you will bring along
You are passionate about developing highperforming teams and building relationships internally and externally. Your curiosity is what drives you to actively seek new challenges. You have proven experience building and enabling teams and challenging the status quo. To describe your leadership style you would say that you like to inspire and coach.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer science Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in managing and leading engineering teams 10 years preferably in a SaaS or technology driven company of engineering leadership experience.
• You have demonstrated experience operating as an effective leader in a remotefirst environment. We have teams in Sweden and the USA today.

• You are an effective communicator and motivator at all levels of an organization and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices coding standards and software development cycle.
• Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities focusing on innovation and continuous improvement. Strategic mindset and the ability to align technical decisions with business goals and market trends.
