Software Engineer

Developing new modifying and maintaining existing software systems written in JavaScript and NodeJS to satisfy the utility clients needs across the US. Building out integrations with database systems using MongoDB and queries in Studio 3T. Writing reading and consuming RESTful and RPC APIs. Interact with document and relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL & must be comfortable with writing SQL/relational database queries. Review software requirements and interact with business owners to ask questions and formulate solutions. Reviewing and testing code and interacting with QA users to validate quantify document and fix issues. Documenting features release notes testing procedures and similar as part of the software life cycle process & work within SDLC management software to manage work pipeline provide estimates updates to status and comments/hours logged. Review learn and propose new technology components to maintain software market leadership. Partner with QA engineers to ensure quality of the systems by reviewing the test plan and addressing bugs. Perform automated testing of applications using multiple versions of a browser and across multiple browsers. Use methodologies in computer science application development cyber security critical infrastructure computer networks and software security in the performance of job duties.Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a closely related field plus twelve (12) months of experience in the job offered and twelve (12) months of experience in the use of software applications such as NodeJS SDLC RESTful APIs.
