General Operative - Plating

The General Operative will report to the Production Manager and where the objective is the production of customer components to recognised Surface Technology standards.

Tasks

What will you do

• To be involved in the production of customer components
• To ensure safe handling procedures are observed when processing parts.
• To ensure all Process Control Sheets are completed and signed
• To ensure all customer directions are followed from Drawings or DBIs.
• To ensure that the quality system is adhered to in order to maintain ISO9001.
• Ensure good orderly housekeeping in your process area.
• To enable the process of products to meet production scheduling.
• Packing of finished goods.
• Polishing when required (must use mask provided)
• Masking/demasking of customer products.
• Jigging/dejigging as required.
• To maintain and comply with the company Health and Safety Policy including the control of hazardous substances.
• To ensure all Environmental aspects of your process adhere to the company ISO 14001 Environmental accreditation.
• To maintain confidentiality at all times within the area of your responsibility.
• Any other duties that you may be called upon to perform by the Management.

Requirements

What do we look for

• Experience in plating
• An awareness of Health and Safety regulations is required
• Fork lift truck licence desirable
