Job Description

As a Soft Services Team Leader you will oversee the effective supervisory and safety concerns when it comes to daily operations on site within the security and cleaning team. You will facilitate the duties and tasks of all staff to ensure compliance to HSQE regulations, site and contract requirements and client reasonable requests. You will report directly to the Soft Services Manager (Regional Operations Manager in their absence).

Main Roles and responsibilities

  • Rota management including covering dropped shifts (core/agency)
  • HR management of sickness, of team performance, investigations, and payroll
  • To assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and secure premises for all client staff, customers, tenants, and your colleagues as per the contract operating procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance folders are up to date.
  • Lead management meetings , always remaining professional.
  • Representing the site/team on senior management visits/calls
  • HSQE, BSI and internal audits
  • Required Checks/Inspection Management
  • Systems administration: TimeGate, MyView, TrackForce, etc
  • Police, tenant liaison
  • Any duty that is deemed a reasonable request by Management
  • Ensure compliance with SIA regulations, site risk assessments and all H&S instructions and ensure compliance for your team.
  • Be the lead on any career and training aspirations of the team.
  • Successful liaison with all support functions.
  • Supporting with any out of hours incidents/escalations.
  • Champion innovation for the site and contract.
  • Meeting all management information deadlines required by the client.
  • Report into the site Soft Services Manager. Lead in their absence.

To be successful in this role you will need.

  • IOSH Essential
  • First Aid
  • DS/SG License
  • CCTV License (Can be trained if not)
  • BiCSc, not essential (will be an internal Trainer)
  • NEBOSH, not essential
  • Ability to manage budgets and sub-contractors.
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • Proactive approach to incidents and always looking for ways to improve the services and/or H&S on site.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Providing flexibility when required and to be always punctual.
  • Maintain a high level of personal presentation and conduct. Be a role model.
