Job Description

  1. Inventory Management

    • Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels
    • Regularly conduct stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies
    • Analyze inventory reports to identify slowmoving or obsolete items and take appropriate actions
  2. Procurement and Vendor Management

    • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and costeffective replenishment of stock
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms pricing and delivery schedules
    • Evaluate vendor performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary
  3. Warehousing and Storage

    • Organize and optimize the layout of the warehouse for efficient space utilization
    • Implement and enforce safety and security measures for warehouse operations
    • Oversee the handling packaging and transportation of materials within the facility
  4. Team Leadership

    • Provide leadership and direction to the stores team fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the stores staff
    • Manage staffing levels schedules and performance evaluations for the stores team
  5. Systems and Technology

    • Implement and maintain an efficient inventory management system
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in stores management
  6. Documentation and Reporting

    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials
    • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels stock movements and key performance indicators
  7. Collaboration

    • Work closely with production procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment of stores activities with overall business objectives
    • Participate in crossfunctional meetings to address issues and improve processes
  8. Cost Control

    • Implement measures to control and reduce operational costs within the stores department
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or service

Requirements

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field
  2. years of progressive experience in stores management within a manufacturing setting
  3. Proven experience with inventory control warehousing and distribution
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills
  5. Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities
  6. Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems
  7. Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
  8. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing
  9. Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic manufacturing environment
  10. Certification in supply chain management or related field is a plus
