What the role entails

• To support or develop plans for ideations and innovation, particularly around the Data and Information domain, to achieve the effective use of Digital assets and IT investment and maximise return on investment.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using Microsoft data toolkits such as Azure Data Factory to extract, transform, and load data from various sources ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability throughout the process.
• Utilise Microsoft Power BI to connect and develop effective dashboards for our stakeholders to communicate findings, provide actionable recommendations and become self-sustaining.
• Oversee the management and optimization of Microsoft Azure Data Factory and API management, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance to implement best practices and automation techniques specific to Azure Data Factory to streamline data processing and improve efficiency.
• Drive innovation and create customer-focused business solutions and act as an internal Subject Matter Expert for the implementation of new technology.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on Microsoft data tools, Azure data modelling, BI development, and implement API strategies to support the implementation digital solutions.
• Identify new data technology and emerging trends in the market to generate ideas and concepts that align to business strategies.
• Drive innovation and integration of innovative technologies and initiatives into projects and activities within the various business workstreams and departments
• Promote technological innovations that open opportunities for collaborative and dynamic projects to further enhance the business and internal processes
• Support the Innovation team in the communication, demonstration, and promotion of innovative solutions
• Create and foster a change culture and early adoption of data solutions and services.
• Deliver upskilling programmes around PowerBI to raise skills across Play n GO
• Provide effective and professional training to new colleagues across standard and customised applications and solutions
• Create and maintain user documentation or videos to support induction courses or upskilling programmes
• Use end-to-end user journeys to take a holistic approach with discussions and designs

What we ask of you

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data innovation or related roles.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, and PowerBI platforms, and integrating applications using APIs with Microsoft API Management is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft data engineering technologies including Azure Data Integration Services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.
• Azure cloud-based platforms and their data services, including Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure
• Ability to create user journeys and service blueprints to design services.
• Facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrable experience with rapid prototyping using a variety of tools and methods.
• Be able to simplify complex issues, find user central solutions and to help shape our approach, structure, and ways of working
• Ability to improve and develop new processes, procedures, and good practice guidance to meet changing needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing
• Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem analysis techniques
• Good attention to detail and ability to show initiative
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload without supervision
• Experience working for a multi-cultural, global company.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred but not a necessity.
