Opportunity Summary

Kellogg’s Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team is seeking an Associate Director of Project Management to drive delivery and change management excellence across our organization. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to design, develop, and implement projects efficiently. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Creative, your focus will be on delivering outstanding results with empathy and teamwork. You will support brand and marketing operations within the IMC team, representing the Creative aspect in partner meetings with degree program marketing, alumni relations, faculty, and internal/external stakeholders from all Kellogg departments.


Your role includes 2 key responsibilities:
  1. Organize and oversee the day-to-day management and smooth operation of multiple digital, print, and video projects.
  2. Leverage a change management methodology to support the adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative. In partnership with leadership teams, you will be instrumental in governing and optimizing our processes (for website launches, web applications, and advertising campaigns), maintaining project scopes, tracking budgets, and assembling the perfect team of talent for projects.
Your responsibilities will be:

Strategic Planning and Implementation
  • Partners with Brand, Digital and Marketing Directors in the overall operations management, prioritization and governance.
  • Optimizes and enables operations infrastructure including workflow management systems to support the Brand, Digital and Marketing teams and IMC department.
  • Contributes to establishing priorities for communication strategies related to the work of the operations team and resources in support of key Brand, Digital and Marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies and disseminates information regarding organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with team, school, University, and federal regulations.
  • Partners with the other teams at Kellogg including Alumni Relations, Admissions, and Kellogg Information Systems (KIS) to continuously evaluate current processes and procedures.
  • Investigates and supports managing the implementation of new operations platforms and technologies to improve operational processes; makes recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of workflow.
Supervision and Management
  • Consultant across diverse teams, contractors and vendors and project complexities that support cross-programmatic operations.
  • Determine staffing needs to support brand and marketing efforts.
  • Sets standards of performance for integrated staff to ensure efficient workflow and proper allocation of resources.
  • Manages and optimizes onboarding processes for new staff.
  • Financial management including forecasting, budget tracking and partnership with finance partners.
  • Manages workflow and priorities.
  • Conducts regular individual meetings and support weekly team meetings to facilitate communication and workflow.
  • Assist the Brand, Digital and Marketing Directors in identifying and implementing process and technology improvements.
  • Train, develop and evaluate staff.
Project Management/Administration
  • Oversees & ensures that day-to-day operations within the team are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
  • Governs all shared project management and communication platforms that aid process and workflow.
  • Ensures program/project success regarding revenue & expense goals including scope adherence, resource management and ease of communication.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities and strategies for short- and long-term growth & expansion.
  • Collaborates with internal/external partners to implement changes designed to improve/increase program/project goals/objectives.
  • Support the enterprise, encouraging use of templates where appropriate to execute individual requests. Works with Brand to develop and maintain robust set of templates for variety of uses.
Miscellaneous
  • Partner with Brand, Digital and Marketing Managing Director and Directors to achieve key strategic priorities and program goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of professional work experience including a minimum of 2 years at a supervisory level.
  • Experience planning / supervising the development and launch of websites, videos and digital campaigns
  • Experience working on a marketing team with writers, designers and filmmakers - project management and production of those functions
  • Understanding of / Experience with managing change initiatives, and how that impacts teams and stakeholders
  • Quality-driven, results-focused approach to work, and a strong attention to detail with an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Highest standards of professionalism, including tact, discretion and a customer service-oriented approach to the job.
  • Passion for team-based work with a clear dedication for fostering positive, collegial relationships – an empathetic, knowledgeable and collaborative approach
  • Mature professional with executive presence and leadership skills needed to motivate professional and administrative staff.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, friendly, customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing reports and documentation of policies and procedures along with the ability to gather, synthesize and present data and information for decision-makers.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced work environment and handle a significant volume of tasks while effectively and efficiently working with deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Savvy with technology and systems and an enthusiastic understanding of technology; recognize how it can be used to facilitate effective and efficient processing in a service-oriented environment.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to influence.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range is $80 - $110K commensurate with experience
