Unity 3D and Mobile Developer

Role overview:

We re looking for an enthusiastic Unity 3D And Mobile Developer who can create multiple Unity projects across a range of mobile AR and desktop VR platforms. We also wish for you to be either a competent iOS or Android developer to assist with other projects. You'll be reporting to the Head of Mobile & Immersive.

You'll be the "go-to person" for technical scoping and troubleshooting. Experience in AR Foundation and VR development is a bonus.

Hybrid working Although with an expectation that on average a couple of days in the office per week will be needed (Not a deal breaker)

As Unity 3D And Mobile Developer at Brandwidth, you will:

• Be responsible for the development and delivery of Unity 3D solutions in multiple projects, mostly in AR.
• Be able to assist with either Android or iOS
• Be accountable for the quality of produced work and the accuracy of provided time estimations.
• Take an active part in issue investigation
• Provide technical feedback
• Communicate with the different teams of the company and client representatives, understand and respond to the development briefs
• Take part in defining the solution architecture, choice of technology stack and development approach, deployment tasks, and regular R&D activities

You will bring:

• Solid knowledge of Unity 3D and C# software development.
• Working knowledge of version control using Git.
• Experience working both as a solo developer and in a team environment.
• A commitment to learning new skills and approaches to writing code through skills sharing and self-learning.
• Some robust experience in native iOS or Android development.
• Experience using RESTful web services
• Experience with other commercial development projects before working with Unity is also regarded.

Desired skills:

• Experience creating VR or AR solutions.
• Knowledge of what effects work well in different immersive use cases.
• An understanding of networked Unity projects, with Unity networking.
• An understanding of how to utilise Blend Shapes correctly.
• Experience with Blender or other 3D modelling applications to handle more straightforward amends or simple asset creation.
• Exposure to advanced tracking for VR such as face detection, and hand or body tracking.
