We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance and accounting team and contribute to the financial health and success of our company.

Your extensive knowledge of accounting principles and retail industry practices will be crucial as you oversee the accurate recording of financial transactions, analyze financial data, and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Participate in inventory reconciliation and oversee physical inventory counts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze sales data, gross margins, and inventory turnover to provide insights into product performance and pricing strategies.
- Monitor and report on key retail metrics, such as sell-through rates, inventory levels, and store performance.
- Assist in tax compliance, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and timely submissions.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accuracy.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team, fostering their growth and development.
How to stand out:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and retail-specific accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Netsuite) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and retail analytics.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting financial insights.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities.
- Experience with retail point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
