We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our clients ; If you have direct experience with buying/purchasing in custom manufacturing, our client needs you on their team!
Your experience you bring to the team will include:
- 1 - 3 years of experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company
- Experience with sourcing and completing purchase orders of materials
- Experience with negotiating contracts, improving prices and terms of business with suppliers
- Knowledge of setting up brokerage and custom for inbound and outbound shipments
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving best practices
- Ability to source materials specified by engineering/costing department
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills Able to influence others & manage conflict
- The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is All employees are required to apply for and receive a Government Security
- Knowledge of cut and sew manufacturing industry is an
- Working knowledge of custom clearance, brokerage and duties
