Title: Boiler Control Engineer

Location: New Jersey and Maryland (Candidate need to travel to different sites for inspection)

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

You will be responsible for the Instrumentation and Control system detailed engineering for monitoring and control of boiler control engineering process. You will be involved in understanding the Piping and instrumentation diagram (PID) for Boiler installation, different sensors and measuring instrumentation, boiler monitoring and control system.

You will also be responsible for commissioning, installation, upgrade, field support and maintenance. You will provide required support for OT-IT integration for boiler remote monitoring through edge gateway on cloud based digital transformation platform.

The control engineer will coordinate between the customer maintenance team and offshore team for remote monitoring of targeted boiler installations.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding the boiler control and associated detailed engineering, PID diagram, existing monitoring and control system and software, PLC program.

2. Based on the boiler specification identify the required sensor specification for boiler parameters to be remotely monitor.

3. Required re-engineering to add additional sensors for monitor the boiler remotely for targeted monitoring parameters.

4. Integrating the boiler control system or installed sensors with edge gateway and associated functional and system testing.

5. Perform routine maintenance for boilers integrated for remote monitoring.

6. Replace defective sensors, measuring equipment

7. Monitor boiler parameters, troubleshoot issues

8. Participate in preventive maintenance.

9. Maintains and updates required changes to improve overall performance.

10. Identify the problems with boiler system and notifies maintenance as required.

11. Comply to quality and safety standards and follow best practices.

12. Apply knowledge and expertise of control system integration with Boilers. and process automation.

13. Prepare functional and technical specification.
