The part you ll play:

The Global Procurement team is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services for EDRI in all countries and is currently building appropriate processes to best support the performance and ambitions within EDRI.

To strengthen our team we are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d) to implement the global commodity group strategy in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

We have a flat hierarchy and you will report directly to the Head of Procurement. This is a hybrid position with a mix of home office and on-site at our Headquarters in Essen, Germany.

Tasks

Some examples of your daily tasks:

  • Establishment and further development of specific category group expertise in cooperation with technical experts and relevant stakeholders of EDRI
  • Responsible for the implementation of the global commodity group strategy in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders
  • Solicitation of requirements and recording of requirements from the various requestors inside EDRI, including tender planning
  • Execution of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) optimizations and involvement in product/service rationalization initiatives
  • Management of the respective supplier market with a view to opening up new and competitive procurement sources, development and standardization of suppliers (including "global" and "best cost country" sourcing)
  • Ensure required supplier performance by measuring and monitoring performance indicators and conducting regular performance reviews with key suppliers.

Requirements

What you ll bring to the team:

  • Several years of experience in Source-to-Contract procurement processes as a Strategic Buyer (m/f/w), Purchasing Manager (m/f/d) or Strategischer Eink ufer (m/w/d) or in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with an entrepreneurial/hands-on mindset
  • Strong customer and results orientation, analytical thinking as well as an efficient, structured and independent way of working
  • Flexible, adoptive team player (m/f/d) with a positive attitude and the desire to help shape the dynamic and changing industry of eMobility
  • Demonstrated a growth and learning mindset and motivation to support colleagues with input and as a sparring partner for projects
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English are required
