Job Description

- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Analyzing information about the capabilities of instruments to determine if they are functioning properly or not
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating instruments such as radar and sonar equipment for military use
- Installing and maintaining electrical instrumentation systems, including panels, wiring, switches, relays, circuit breakers, and other components
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical instruments such as pressure gauges and thermometers
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing aircraft and aerospace instrumentation systems, such as avionics and guidance control systems
- Maintaining records of installation and repair activities, including drawings and written descriptions
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing marine and aviation navigation equipment such as compasses, depth finders, and radar systems
- Installing, calibrating, operating and maintaining instrumentation systems used in manufacturing facilities
