Job Description

The position requires substantial knowledge of site processes, understanding of the significance of accurate data management and demonstration of an excellent eye for detail. Knowledge and familiarization with the SAP system is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing key data maintenance and data design for Master Data in SAP and associated systems
  • Creating and maintaining local formal Standard Operating Procedures and training materials
  • Determining impact of local and/or global changes while ensuring global data consistence and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures. For example, these changes could include SAP Master Data maintenance changes, interfaced system changes (e.g., Blue, PMX, etc.), or process changes driven by Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences or Engineering.
  • Identifying and participating in or leading process improvement initiatives which could include, developing and maintaining DSP flows, using Winshuttle for improved maintenance efficiency, or leveraging appropriate tools / reports to track maintenance efforts and both data accuracy and completeness.
  • Where applicable, participating in annual standard costing assessment in readiness for Business Planning and driving the annual review of planning parameter and other key fields
  • Troubleshooting SAP (or level 3 system such as PMX) execution problems (which may include logging formal IT incidents), identifying root causes, and implementing solutions
  • Investigating deviations and providing impact assessments for change management
  • Contributing to global initiatives for Master Data Management, as required, and attending select Power User forums to share best practices with peers
  • Maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountably for supporting all Health, Safety & Environmental Corporate and Site goals.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, STEM discipline preferred
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

  • SAP/Master Data experience in Material Master creation and maintenance
