Responsibilities

  • Select vendors/suppliers based on the quality and cost of their materials.
  • Liaise with key members and respond to tenders - the experience of writing tenders and drafting pitch presentations is highly recommended.
  • Devise a successful strategy for winning a bid, including pinpointing the unique selling points (key differentiators) of the organization, knowing the company s operating profit margins, and understanding the client's specific requirements
  • Researching, writing, and/or checking proposals efficiently.
  • Resolve day-to-day supply chain issues and promote operational consistency.
  • Issue detailed purchase orders to our suppliers.
  • Assess and address the technical and commercial risks relating to the bid they are working on.
  • Ensure project management of RFQ submissions and another client/prospect pitch materials.
  • Establish effective communication channels with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities on which to submit bids.
  • Negotiate better contracts with existing suppliers as well as source new suppliers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all bids submitted with probability scale.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration or related courses.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a bidding/sourcing role is required.
  • Great negotiating, reporting, analytical, and researching skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, and PowerPoint) with excellent attention to details.

  • Good technical writing/documentation skills.
