Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will be an integral member of the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Finance team and support the preparation of accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting, planning and analysis. This role is a key participant in the development and preparation of the monthly forecast, long-range financial plans and operating budgets. Knowledge and understanding of the principles and theories of finance, statistics, accounting and other related disciplines to plan, design and conduct financial business analyses are critical for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage financial reporting deliverables including monthly forecasts, consolidations and presentations
• Track business performance against operating plans and prepare monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variance analysis for management and business leads
• Understand the key drivers of the DTC business, and analyze and summarize the latest financial forecast for communication to leadership
• Assist in the preparation of financial analyses related to strategic business plans and other ad hoc initiatives, through development of detailed financial and operating models
• Regularly prepare detailed historical and projected forecast models for DTC to assess financial and operating performance
• Establish business relationships and assist in the review of results with the business on a monthly basis, including reviewing and advising departmental budget preparation and addressing ad hoc financial analysis requests
• Develop and improve recurring reporting processes; continuously look to increase efficiency through processes automation
• Routinely analyze the financial forecast for DTC, as well as its domestic and international competitors; track macroeconomic and competitive data in key markets
• Help identify key trends and potential risks & opportunities
• Collaborate with accounting and other finance partners to bridge actual results to plan

Priority Qualifications

• BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or Economics
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience including transaction modeling, research gathering; FP&A, investment banking, or consulting background preferred
• Understanding of valuation and corporate finance, including DCFs, comparable company, and returns analyses
• Demonstrated analytical and modeling skills with sound knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
• Proven ability to mine and manipulate data, identify and analyze trends, KPI's and business drivers
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success of working in teams and ability to work with all levels
• Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Working knowledge of and prior experience with standard financial applications (Hyperion Essbase or related) preferred
• Results-oriented with strong sense of urgency and excellent follow-through
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge and passion for Media/Entertainment industry a plus
