Junior Procurement Officer

The Junior procurement officer is responsible for placing, maintaining and distribution all procurement orders from both the BARC general stores as well as external vendors. 

Responsibilies

• Performs responsibilities and any reasonable duties or requests apart from normal job function within the post holder’s sphere of capability and responsibility.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant SOP’s and that processes are lean and completed within the stipulated turnaround times.
• Analyzing market trends to help create and implement strategies that drive sales growth
• Negotiating prices and terms of sale with suppliers and manufacturers
• Reviewing bids received from suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s standards for quality and price
• Scheduling deliveries of inventory to ensure that items are received on time
• Coordinating with vendors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget
• Researching new suppliers to find competitive rates for new products or services
• Compiling reports on sales figures, inventory levels, and other business metrics for use in future planning
• Following protocol for processing orders and invoices

Skills

• 12 Preffered.Diploma in logistics and Supply Chain management
• FMCG / Pharmaceutical background advantageous
• Stock experience a must
• Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, Pastel and Smartsheet a must
