API Engineer

Role: API Engineer

Location: Day 1 Onsite (NYC, NY)

Long Term Contract W2 & C2C

Job Description:

• Have a strong background and passion in building successful full stack systems, services and APIs that deliver impactful products to customers.
• A strong technical background, including 7+ years of software delivery experience as a generalist working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users
• Work mostly with JavaScript (React), Redux, Terraform, Python, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
• Experience in test driven development and deployment through Agile and DevOps methodology, mindset and best practices
• Experience with security controls and compliance (Role-Based Authentication, encryption at rest and transit, IPS/IDS and traffic inspection, application layer security, TLS, SQL Injection, OWASP, and DDOS prevention)
• Deep technical expertise with software and application security, including SSDLC and DevSecOps practices, as well as the tools and processes that enable them such as CI/CI pipelines, SAST, DAST, and RASP tools, SCA and Vulnerability Management, and how to find the right tools for the environment to help create and ship secure applications
