Job Description :

Situation: CVS Health has a team that builds and maintains APIs for internal and external integrations. It's a large portfolio of 1000+ APIs and 250+ clients. Information about these APIs is presented through an internal website called Services Catalog. Internal stakeholder use this website for seeking information on APIs, clients who are using a list of APIs, client names and contacts, API related information, and many other things.

Key Requirements:

• You are responsible for building and maintaining this portal that is written in Ruby on Rails with a backend database. This portal also fetches and displays API performance data from the Splunk server.
• You need to have solid foundation in computer science and the ability to quickly grasp someone else's code.
• You will periodically seek feedback from the internal stakeholders and build a roadmap of feature enhancements.
• You must have sound understanding of design thinking so that periodic feedback is on the usability of the web interfaces. Be minimalist in your design.
• You will also seek latest and greatest information from the key stakeholders in making sure that the website has accurate information all the time. For example, one of the key stakeholders are project leaders who work on API integration projects with internal and external client. They need to know and also update (directly on this portal) API and client specific information. You need seek out people in making sure they are fulfilling their responsibilities.
• Another key stakeholders are senior managers and directors who periodically use this portal for finding out client information.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills along with persistent efforts are key to getting the job done.
• Familiarity with open source API documentation tools a PLUS.

Other Requirements:

• Closely work with the product owner (owner of services catalog) in making sure that you provide weekly updates.
• Make sure product owner is in sync in terms of task lists, project estimates, progress made, and challenges (risks) etc.
• You must test your work before you publish it to a beta site and after an internal UAT move the final product (feature) on the production site.
• Be able to speak fluently during internal demos.

Primary Skill:

• 3+years expertise and demonstrated experience with Ruby and Rails is the main requirement with Linux experience.
• HTML/SCSS
• SQL.
• Implementing Brand site.
• Full stack developer.

Secondary Skill:

• Self-starter.
• Ability to plan, design and work independently or with less guidance.
• Strong Problem solving skills.
• Quickly understanding business requirements and independently proposing and driving solutions.
