Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a professional and knowledgeable Dental Hygienist in Monroe, NC to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background
in dental hygiene and be patient-focused, with a keen eye for detail. The focus of the role is to provide hygiene education to patients and educate them
on good oral care, along with examining patients for oral diseases and infections and assisting with other dental responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Support the dentists by educating and consulting with patients regarding dental hygiene.
Assist patients with understanding proper oral cleaning practices.
Educate patients on oral care, including proper brushing, flossing, and correct use of mouthwash, and advise on the prevention of tooth and gum disease.
Examine patients and make visual exams to diagnose or identify oral issues.
Carry out various procedures such as scaling and polishing, and applying fluoride coatings and sealants to patients' teeth.
Conduct x-rays and review and analyze the images.
Review patients' dental and medical histories.
Make updates to patients' records and files to detail procedures carried out.
Work in line with patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.

Requirements

Associates degree or relevant vocational qualification in dental hygiene
Licensed in North Carolina
Minimum of 2 years internship or externship experience
Excellent eye for detail and ability to monitor changes over time
Demonstrated knowledge of medical and dental apparatus such as x-ray machines
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to read complex records
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Strong knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines

Competitive salary of $50,000 to $60,000 annually.

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
