Our client company is seeking an experienced Master Compounder who is a self-starter and a creative problem solver, with the ability to work closely with product development, business teams and customers and help bring new products to the market.

You must be willing to:
Develop our trademark materials/lead the efforts of the material development team
Work with the business unit to align research/development priorities with customer requests/technical difficulty
Coordinate the development efforts of the research team
Develop compounds/manufacturing methods to achieve novel material morphologies

Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS/MS degree Materials Science, Polymer Science or related
10+ years previous industry experience in rubber compounding
Hands-on experience in rubber mixing on a two-roll mill, rubber testing (tensile/abrasion/fatigue)
Hands-on laboratory chemistry experience (titrations/solution preparation)
Experience in experimental design/results analysis
Demonstrated ability to generate compounding alternatives to fix product challenges
