Violin Teacher

The Position

Resound School of Music is looking to hire a violin teacher in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody to teach in-home music lessons! We are seeking passionate music instructors with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with students of all ages and backgrounds.

Full-time and part-time hours are available
Must have a reliable vehicle and valid BC Drivers License.
Hours are typically afternoons and evenings after 3:00PM, between Monday-Friday.
Ability to teach an additional musical instrument is an asset, but not required.

Since 2009, Resound School of Music has specialized in at-home music lessons that are fun and personalized towards each student. We believe that with the right teacher, anyone can excel in playing music; thats why we hand-pick and match each new student to each teacher based on their personality, goals, and musical interests as part of our student onboarding process.

Our unique and proven approach has already helped thousands of students throughout the Lower Mainland, but were only just getting started. As we move forward from the COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to continue expanding our school's reach and hope that you will be a part of our growing team.

What You'll Be Doing

Commuting by vehicle to your students homes in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody.
Teaching private violin lessons to students ranging from 30 to 60 minutes in length.
Preparing individualized lesson plans for each student based on their goals and interests in order to keep them motivated and excited to learn violin.

What You Have

A positive, fun, and enthusiastic personality.
A high level of musical competence and proficiency on the violin.
Ability to teach violin to different skill levels and in a variety of musical styles.
Ability to connect with a diverse range of students of different ages and backgrounds.
A valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle to travel to lessons.
A love and passion for teaching music!

Compensation

Our starting rate ranges from $40.00-$45.00 per hour, plus additional bonuses for travel. We also believe in promoting from within, and provide opportunities for growth and advancement for those who demonstrate the right characteristics.
