SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER FOR IOT TESTBENCHES

We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer to support and provide software applications for testbenches for embedded systems applications, edge devices and communication technologies used in rolling stock environment. Be prepared to use cloud technology elements to establish a connected cross-location testbench system. You will be part of a new team that will focus on the development of new Digital Products and Services.

MAIN TASKS

• Develop software applications running on standard PCs and Linux machines to support testbenches and automated test sequences
  
• Develop software applications running as microservices in the backend
  
• Manage cloud services in computing, networking, and storage (e.g., data storage, report generation, data enrichment, statistics), managed services
  
• Consolidate and evaluate generated test data from different sources (e.g., testbenches, field data, customer data)
  
• Be responsible to create user documentation
  
• Interact with different departments and locations to establish a connected cross-location testbench.
  
• Travel occasionally
  

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer science
  
• Experience with test bench systems (e.g., NI products) and remote control of measurement devices
  
• Experience in AWS cloud infrastructure
  
• Good documentation skills
  
• Problem solving attitude
  
• Proficient English language skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ISTQB certification
  
• Background in railway, automotive or automation industry
  
• German language skills
