Senior GIS Consultant (m/f/d)

As a (geographic information system) GIS Engineer (m/f/d) you are part of the core of our team with experienced consultants and engineers and support our customers in all project phases. Our customers include national and international corporations and major customers as well as authorities and organizations with security tasks.

Together with our GIS architects, you will design company-wide spatial data infrastructures and solutions in the field of location analytics. You are always on the lookout for innovative approaches and contribute them profitably in the sense of an agile methodology.

Tasks

• You work and decide independently in conception, design, implementation, testing and consulting and you are responsible for the implementation of solution components or function blocks. Often you mediate here between employees of specialist and IT departments on the customer side.
• You support the acquisition of new projects through professional expertise and actively support the implementation of workshops on the use of GIS solutions. In the project, you are then responsible for the implementation of solution components or function blocks of GIS architectures.
• You actively support the implementation of customer acceptances and develop innovative specialist topics together with our GIS architects.
• Your other tasks include the preparation of the necessary documentation in accordance with the applicable standards with the help of the prescribed methods and procedures or regulations.
• The result of your work optimizes business-critical functions for our customers and has a direct impact on their economic success.
• You represent our company convincingly to the outside world at the interface to our customers from a wide variety of industries as well as our partners (e.B. ESRI).

Requirements

• You have a university degree in computer science or geoinformatics and extensive professional experience inthe context of the conception anddevelopment of GISsystems.
• You master the common software platforms in the GIS context (esp. Esri ArcGIS) and have knowledge of current methodologies, guidelines, and best practices from the GIS context.
• In addition, you have in-depth knowledge of current software architectures and common procedures in application development.
• They master basic consulting and presentation skills and can convince even in unknown environments.
• A high degree of mobility (national) is a basic requirement for you to be able to work in this position.
• You usually work with a team, but independence and self-motivation also characterize this function.
• Quick understanding of technical aspects and the presentation of technical solutions or solution components, e.B. in customer presentations are among your strengths.
• Good German and Written English skills are absolutely necessary.
• Ability to work in a team, entrepreneurial thinking, independence and motivation round off your profile.
