Your Tasks:

We are looking for an experienced software developer, with a strong learning and sharing mindset. We believe that you are an excellent and pragmatic problem solver, who enjoys working in an agile environment, and taking full ownership of the software you develop over its entire lifecycle. As an Advanced/Senior Java Developer at IONOS, you will:

• Develop our next generation software that serves cloud infrastructure to millions of users across the world.
• Work in a community driven style; learning and sharing through pairing and ensemble sessions is a daily occurrence.
• Be part of an international team, with flat hierarchies and contribute to the exploration and implementation of new technologies, and establishing best practices around them.
• Take ownership of the software you create, from the ideation stage all the way through to running it in production.
• Work together with your team in order to improve and migrate existing processes and products to a cutting-edge stack.

We Appreciate:

• B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of Java 8+, PostgreSQL and JPA are in your toolbox.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Good knowledge in distributed systems and their maintenance.
• Using cloud computing is part of your repertoire, and you re familiar with core concepts used across this domain.
• A strong devops mindset, SRE knowledge and other programming languages and paradigms are helpful.
• Fluency in English is a must!
