Job Title: Transcode - Software Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, California
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
- 0-4 years' experience with any compiled, back end languages (examples include: C/C++, Java, Rust), with 1+ years' experience with Node.js
- Should have experience following and implementing software design patterns.
- Should have knowledge of over-the-top software e.x. HLS, DASH, DRM (FairPlay, WideVine, or PlayReady)
- Should have also worked upon Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Should have good knowledge on GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Should have knowledge of Ticketing (JIRA, confluence) and Documentation process related to day to day work.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate conversations with business partners in project definition, business requirements definition and functional design sessions.
- Should be able to Deliver team updates.
- Able to work with multiple scrum teams in an agile process.
- Experience with Code Reviews, Testing.
- Eye for quality and user experience.
