Senior Python/Django Developer

This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced Django developer to make intuitive high level decisions for backend development. You will see the - big picture- and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team. You would be working closely with UX and frontend developer to understand end user requirements. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Some typical things that you d be doing are:

• Write scalable code and be able to think about the best approach for the particular use case.
  

• Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.
  

• Improve functionality of existing systems.
  

• Devising best practices and modern tools to increase productivity and work quality.
  

• Code reviews and mentoring other members of the team.
  

Requirements

Experience: 5-7 years

Must Haves:

• Strong knowledge of Architecture which includes:
  

Experience working on monoliths, micro- services, microkernels, Caching (Redis) and Events Streams and broker. (Redis, Apache Kafka).

• Strong knowledge of security using JWT (Json-Web Token), Hashing (Salt, MD5) and encryption (AES Advanced Encryption System).
  

• Previous experience building scalable REST principles (and its constraints).
  

• Strong proficiency with Django Rest Framework, Knowledge of Middlewares, Adapters and administration. (django-admin).
  

• Strong knowledge of Cloud services (AWS, EC2, AWS S3).
  

• Hands on experience working with Query optimisation and DB design.
  

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of Containers and Orchestration (Docker, docker-compose, kubernetes).
  

• Knowledge of telemetry (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
  

• Knowledge of linting.
  

• Knowledge of server softwares (Nginx, Apache).
  

• Experience with different deployment techniques.
  

• Strong knowledge of Unit and Integration testing.
