Job Description
- Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems (GCSS-Army), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Assists the Theater Distribution and Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating workloads to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities.
- Establishes programs and proceedures to meet normal and contingency mission requirements.
- Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potental problems or those identified by management and/or the government.
- Ensures all required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Monitors the Shelf Life and COSIS program.
- Provides management direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day retrograde operations. This may include but not limited to storage, inventories, receiving, shipping and preparation of all supporting documentation.
- Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks.
- Monitors and evaluates work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulations pertaining to their assigned duties.
- Ensures that employees are always in compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulations.
- Ensures safeguarding of all Army property and equipment.
- Implements Work Performance Training when required.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
