Job Summary (Field Service Engineer YieldStar)
This position is a customer support role responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of ASML YieldStar systems. The role primarily involves on-site field service including troubleshooting and performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. With a considerable level of autonomy the engineer works independently or as part of a team to diagnose and resolve issues escalating to central support when necessary.
In addition the role involves providing customer training on system operation and maintenance as well as proposing improvements. This position requires daily use of both Japanese and English and offers the opportunity to work in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze diagnose and resolve system issues
- Perform repairs parts replacement and maintenance tasks
- Provide customer training on operation and maintenance
- Document report and escalate technical issues
- Propose improvements and share technical knowledge
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers
This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
