Job Definition

Do IT Now is looking for a passionate and very proactive Linux Systems Administrator to join HPC support team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for Installation configuration and maintenance of HPC systems based on GNU/Linux distributions as well as all related software components.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for designing and configuring HPC cluster architectures including all hardware and software components (servers high-speed interconnects storage queue management tools etc.).

Working in team with our application and system engineers the candidate will be

responsible for identifying advanced solutions installation and configuration of HPC applications as well as developing applications performance improvements. The candidate will also be responsible for client/user training.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or similar.
• 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Fluent English and Italian.
• Good knowledge of Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL SLES etc.)
• Knowledge Backup and Scripting with Bash and Python**.**

Technical skills and experience:

• Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL SLES etc.)
• Networking: Switching VLAN FireWall
• Monitoring Systems: Zabix Nagios
• Backup and Scripting with Bash and Python
• Parallel File System (Lustre BeeGFS GPFS CEPH etc.)
• HPC Scheduler: PBS LSF SLURM etc.
• Docker Singularity R.H. Container
• Deployment tools: Xcat Bright Cluster Manager
• Automations Tools: Ansible Puppet

• VmWare Citrix KVM Hyper-V
• Relational database (MySQL Ost Postgres)
• Knowledge and previous experience of DELL HPE and Lenovo Server Platforms.
